Description

This course deals with the mathematical ideas underlying modern cryptography, including algebra, number theory and probability theory.

The formal prerequisites for MATH324 are MATH221 plus an extra 11 points of 200-level Mathematics.  We will also accept MATH220 plus an extra 11 (or 15) points of 200-level Mathematics.  If you think you meet these new prerequisites and you are having problems enrolling in MATH324, please email enrolment@math.canterbury.ac.nz.  Say that you want to enrol in MATH324 and state which 200-level Mathematics courses you have taken.
