All forms of cheating and dishonest practice are taken seriously and penalties will result. Students should refer to Regulation J of the General Course and Examination Regulations.
The University has implemented a common grading scale for Semester 1, 2012. This replaces any grading scales that have been used previously and is applied across the University to all preparatory, undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses and across all Faculties.
The final course grade will be reported using the University of Canterbury’s official 11-point scale. The course grading scale is: A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D and E. D and E are failing grades. Refer to the UC website for additional information about the University grading scale.

A Pass is 50 marks or over
The course will be assessed through the regular use of UCTL evaluative instruments. The Faculty of Education will conduct regular graduate surveys under the direction of the Dean of Education, and these will include seeking the views of the professional educational sector. At the end of the second year a review will be undertaken of the programme and every five years thereafter. The monitoring of programme quality will make use of external reviewers.
