Description

Advanced ensemble training and performance including development of leadership and soloist roles.

Prerequisites

MUSI298 or any two of MUSI142-MUSI145 in Chamber Music.

Timetable Note

Weekly coaching sessions (1 hour) and performances to be arranged by designated tutor.
* Students are expected to participate in all weekly sessions and to have at least one public performance.
* In case of illness students must produce a medical certificate.
* Students who miss three coaching sessions without satisfactory explanation can expect to fail the course.

Assessment

Assessment Due Date Percentage 
Ensemble Work


Assessment will be PASS or FAIL based on the following criteria:  The ability to perform fluent and highly accurate performances of selected pieces of music demonstrating secure techniques, and convincing ensemble awareness and presentation skills.  Students are expected to play a leadership role within the group.

Indicative Fees

Domestic fee $748.00

International fee $3,388.00
