Special Topic

MUSI310 Special Topic provides an opportunity for students to pursue individual research projects under the supervision of a teaching staff member in the School of Music.

Learning Outcomes

Students who pass this course will be able to:
*  Propose, develop, and investigate a research topic under supervision;
*  Formulate successful search strategies using library catalogues and databases, bibliographic tools, and internet resources;
*  Construct an effective research proposal;
*  Present research findings in scholarly written language and/or a public presentation.

Prerequisites

Any 15 points of MUSI at 200 level approved by the Programme Coordinator.

Assessment and grading system

In a course at 100- or 200-level examiners may grant restricted credit (R) which will be equivalent to a pass for all purposes except as a prerequisite.
