Advanced ensemble training and performance in chamber music.
This course continues to develop sophisticated choral singing skills, rehearsals techniques, discipline and languages. It also provides experience of group public performance.The aim of the course is to continue to build on the skills required of choral singers through a range of repertoire. There will be weekly rehearsals, and performances scheduled throughout the year.
By passing this course, students will be able to:* sing their part individually and in a choral context;* mark their scores during rehearsals;* demonstrate pronunciation of the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) and languages;* Sight sing music;* Be punctual to rehearsals and attain 80% attendance.

WorkloadStudent workload (150 hours) will be allocated approximately as follows:* 100 hours attending rehearsals* 15 hours attending performances* 18 hours for own practise* 17 hours for writing learning logs

To pass this course, 80% attendance is required. However, there are exemptions, for example, national representation.
The following shows how to translate grades to numerical scores:A+ 90–100; A 85–89; A- 80–84; B+ 75–79; B 70–74; B- 65–69; C+ 60–64; C 55–59; C- 50–54; D 40–49; E 0–39In a course at 100- or 200-level examiners may grant restricted credit (R) which will be equivalent to a pass for all purposes except as a prerequisite.A pass is 50 marks and over.
