This course builds on MUSA 290 and develops highly sophisticated choral singing skills and performer discipline.
The aim of this course is to equip you with advanced skills required of choral singers through a range of repertoire. There will be weekly rehearsals, and performance scheduled throughout the year.
By passing this course, students will be able to:* Sing difficult vocal lines unaccompanied;* Pronounce and translate texts correctly;* Have an understanding of vocal production, rehearsal techniques and concepts of intonation;* Sight sing advanced music unaccompanied;* Create and perform warm-ups related to the repertoire;* Attend rehearsals regularly and punctually;* Show commitment and team work throughout the year;* Focus during rehearsals by marking scores;* Demonstrate responsibility and musical leadership in a choral setting.

While this summary won't be assessed, its content will be used to award a grade for these aspects in conjunction with the lecturer's assessment.
