Description

Examination of contemporary research on student learning. Exploration of the effects of participant’s teaching methods on how students learn in order to enhance student learning outcomes.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will be able to
1. Comprehend key results from the literature about tertiary teaching methods;
2. Reflect upon and critique evidence gathered about teaching methods;
3. Apply results from the educational literature on tertiary teaching methods to revise personal teaching.

Assessment Due Date Percentage  Description
Eleven Reflective Pieces on Tertiary Topics Done Weekly: 500-1000 words each, linked to outcomes 1,2
Summative Reflection On Personal Tertiary Teaching Practice (Final Assignment , ~3500 words, due two weeks after the course finishes, linked to outcomes 2, 3)
