Description

This course is designed for advanced students of the German language. Reading, writing and speaking skills will be systematically trained in combination with a reconsideration of essential grammatical topics. The course is taught in an interactive way. Aspects of German history, culture and actuality are integrated in the teaching of the language.

This course is designed for advanced students of the German language. Reading, writing, listening and speaking skills will be systematically trained in combination with a reconsideration of essential grammatical topics. The course is taught in an interactive way. Aspects of German history, culture and actuality are integrated in the teaching of the language.
Students wanting to get an internationally recognised German language diploma by the end of the semester are invited to the Goethe-Zertifikat B2 at our university.

Lecture hours
2 hours video conferencing and 2 hours tutorial. Note that the teaching methods in the course consist of blended learning of interactive learning in groups and partner work during the video conferencing and tutorial classes and a significant part of online assignments and activities.

Expectations
Students in this language course are expected to attend the two hours video conference and the two one-hour tutorials regularly and complete the written and online homework assignments.

Learning Outcomes

Enhancement of all four areas of the language (reading, writing, speaking and listening).
Written and oral skills levels are based on the B2 level of the international language acquirement scheme.
