Assessment

Assessment Due Date Percentage
Assignment and Projects 27%
final exam (WCE) 25%
Test (MTP) 45%
Tutorials 3%

While the bulk of the assessment for this paper lies in the tests, you will only perform well in these if you have thoroughly prepared for it by working through the material provided and set for you in assignments and projects.

The 27% allocated for assignments and projects will be spread proportionally between the two major topics of the course.

Important things to note:

1. You cannot pass this course unless you achieve a mark of at least 40% in the mid-semester test and the final exam. A student who narrowly fails to achieve 40% in either the test or exam, but who performs very well in the other, might be eligible for a pass in the course.

2. Copying another person’s work, and submitting that work as your own is plagiarism. This practice is unethical and will result in disciplinary action being taken against you.
