Description

Methods for the quantitative analysis of chemical processes.

This is a key course in chemical engineering covering methods for the quantitative analysis of chemical processes, including process optimisation and curve fitting, process modelling and applications, energy and mass balances, pinch analysis and sustainability assessment.

The course includes the following key topics:
• Mass balances (6 L, GAV);
• Sustainability assessment for processing industries (8 L, Erskine).
• Pinch analysis (6 L, SSP);
• Process modelling and applications (8 L, SSP);
• Process optimisation and curve fitting with data statistics (6 L, SSP);
