Description

This course is an introduction to the oldest continuous civilisation, that of China. It exposes students to various aspects of traditional Chinese culture and explores the significant influence of Chinese culture on other cultures in Asia and the world. It also surveys China's modern history and how economic and political reforms of the past two decades have turned China into an emerging power and the world's fastest growing economy.
