Description

A survey of ancient Greek art - primarily architecture, sculpture, vase painting - from the eighth to fourth centuries BC and how these materials relate more broadly to their cultural context; tutorials will focus on objects in the James Logie Memorial Collection.

Prerequisites

Either 15 points of CLAS at 100-level with a B pass; or 30 points of CLAS at 100-level; or any 45 points from the Arts Schedule. RP: Any 100-level course in CLAS.

In-class Slide Test 25% 2 in-class slide tests (NB. only your better result will count.)
Final Exam 40% One two-hour exam.
