- Discuss the issue of disclosure with a member of the Careers, Internships & Employment team at Drop In or a career counselling appointment.
- Refer to"Getting a job: an A to Z for an employers and employees. Pre-employment guidelines These guidelines, written by The Human Rights Commission, are aimed at ensuring equality & fairness for all job applicants regardless of characteristics such as gender, ethnicity, age, disability or sexual orientation.
- Refer to the Christchurch & Canterbury Community Services Directory in the Careers, Internships & Employment Resource Area which contains information on employment/supported employment services.

- The Disability Resource Service provide useful information about the services and resources available at the University of Canterbury for students who have a disability. Includes links to community agencies.
- The Disability Information Service is a free community information and referral service holding a wide range of information on disability and health issues in the Canterbury Region.
- The Mental Health Education and Resource Centre (MHERC) contains a Mental Health Directory. Go into this directory and enter "Employment Services" under "Category" and get a list of organisations that might be able to assist in your job search.
