Entry Requirements
Please note that limited entry applies.
Enrolment in the CUP is restricted to New Zealand and Australian citizens or permanent residents (with demonstrated English language proficiency). Students must also fit ONE of the following criteria:
- You are 18 years or over on the course commencement date and have been out of school for a minimum of one term.
OR
- You are under 18 years of age and have been out of school for one term AND achieved a minimum of 14 credits at Level 3 NCEA in at least one subject or equivalent on the approved list AND completed 14 credits of numeracy at Level 1 and 8 credits of literacy at Level 2, (4 credits reading, 4 credits writing). This may be gained in Maori equivalent courses.
Note: Year 12 applicants who have been out of school for less than one school term may be considered, normally subject to the support of their former school principal. Year 13 applicants who apply during the course of their Year 13 year may also be considered, normally subject to the support of their former school principal.
Students who successfully complete the programme will be eligible to apply for entry to 100-level courses at the University.
