English Language
Our English language courses prepare students for study at Foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate degree level. Our courses provide students with the specific language and study skills needed to succeed in academic study.

Certificate in English for Tertiary Studies
The Certificate in English for Tertiary Studies programme will enable you to meet the English language entry requirements for either undergraduate or postgraduate study while developing your academic study skills and techniques.

Certificate in Foundation Studies
This programme enables students to meet the academic and English language entry requirements for most of the undergraduate degree programmes offered by the University of Canterbury. Students will develop their English language and study skills as well as gain an introduction to subjects in their chosen academic field.

Certificate in University Preparation
For domestic students who either do not met requirements for university entry through their existing qualifications or for students who have been out of school for many years.

Science Headstart
Science Headstart courses are two-week summer catch-up courses designed for newcomers to tertiary study intending to major in Engineering, Science or Forestry.
