Claire Hero

Claire has a BA in English and Anthropology from Hamline University (St. Paul, Minnesota) and an MFA in poetry from Washington University (St. Louis, Missouri). She has held positions at Washington University and Central Missouri State University, and now teaches creative writing in the English programme at the University of Canterbury.

Claire's research interests include animal poetics and experimental poetry. Her work in progress, Postdomestic, explores and questions the dividing line between the human and the nonhuman. Claire's poems have been recently published in horse less reviewThe HatRHINO, and CROWD, and are forthcoming from typoDIAGRAM, and Pleiades.
