Wellington Alumni Chapter Function - 13 February 2018

We invite you along to the next Wellington Chapter Function to hear from our guest speaker, Jane Tolerton, historian and author.

Guest Speaker: Jane Tolerton, Historian and Author

Jane Tolerton is one of New Zealand's most notable authors of historical material with a particular focus on Women and World War One. Her new book 'Maker Her Praises Heard Afar: New Zealand women overseas in World War One', is a carefully researched chronicle of women who played a role in the war effort including from women doctors to writers. Jane's other works include the best-selling (12,500 copies) 'Convent Girls (1994), an award-winning biography of Ettie Rout and an oral history of WW1 veterans, 'An Awfully Big Adventure' (2013) which made The Listener's 100 Best Books of the yea,r as has her latest volume.

Jane has a BA in History and American Studies and a diploma in Journalism from the University of Canterbury.

Alumni Family Picnic - 24 February 2018

The Alumni & UC Foundation would like to invite you to our alumni family picnic at Ilam Homestead.

Come along and join fellow alumni for a relaxing time, bring your picnic mat, and something to eat, we will also have some sausages and snacks for you to nibble on.

Bring a friend, or bring your family.  There will be a bouncy castle (for kids), face painting and lots of fun games to keep children entertained.  So pack some sunblock and join us for a fun morning out.
