Check the status of your application
If you have already applied for a hall of residence, you can check the status of your application by using your Account Login details and selecting the "Application Status" tab in the "Application Menu".
This is especially important leading up to the 1 October due date as you are able to check that Step 2 (if required) has been received and that your application is complete.
If you have misplaced your Username and Password, please contact the Accommodation Office.
What Does Each "Status" Mean?
"Acceptance Incomplete - contact hall"
The hall has only received a part of the information required to confirm your place. Please contact the hall directly to confirm what is missing.
"Application Cancelled"
Your application has been cancelled at your request.
"Application Cancelled - incomplete"
Your application has been cancelled as it is incomplete and passed the term for which it was intended.
"Application Incomplete "
You have not completed all the steps required in the online application.
"Application on Hold"
Your application has been placed on hold in the Accommodation Office pending confirmation from the University that you have been accepted into your intended programme.
"Application on Hold - non UC student "
Your application has been placed on hold as preference is given to UC students before 1 January.
"Application on Hold - one semester only "
Your application has been placed on hold as preference is given to full year applications.
"General Waitlist"
You have asked to be on the general waitlist located at the Accommodation Office - applications here can be considered by any of the fully-catered halls of residence if they have places that become available.
"Offer Expired - contact hall directly"
You have missed the deadline of accepting an offer of a place. If you wish your application to be reconsidered, contact the hall directly.
"Offered Place"
You have been offered a place which you will need to either accept or decline by a specified date. Important: if your 'status' says "Offered Place" and you have not received any information by post or by email from the hall, please contact that hall immediately.
"Please contact the Accommodation Office"
We require further information, please contact the Accommodation Office immediately.
"Returning Resident"
The hall has your required documentation. Please contact the hall directly to confirm your accommodation.
"Sent to First Preference"
Your application is complete (both Steps 1 and 2) and has been sent through to your preferred hall for consideration.
"Sent to Second / Third / Fourth / Fifth / Sixth Preference"
Your application has been forwarded on to your next preference hall(s) for consideration.
"Step 1 Complete"
Your online application only is complete. We still require Step 2 to complete your application.
"Student Acceptance Received"
Your acceptance of the offer of a place has been received by the hall. More information will be sent to you from the hall at a later date.
"Waitlisted"
You have been placed on a hall's waitlist. You can choose to remain on this waitlist or ask to have your application forwarded to another hall for consideration. You cannot be considered by another hall and be on a waitlist at the same time.
