The University of Canterbury has a variety of accommodation options that offer a supportive study environment. Most are just a few minutes' walk from campus facilities. Waitākiri Village is located 7 km from campus on a direct bus route.
Suitable for individual students (not students with families*), the halls mostly offer fully-furnished single rooms. Waimairi Village has three double rooms in each house and Waitākiri Village has some double, single with ensuite, and twin-share with ensuite rooms. All options have internet access, organised social activities, academic support, and study areas.
In most cases, male and female students are accommodated on mixed floors. Waitākiri Village has some single-sex floors.
Please note that all accommodation is smoke-free.
