Researcher Summary

My research focuses on the impact of nonverbal behavior (especially facial expressions of emotion and behavioral mimicry) on social perception and social interactions. In addition, I consider the impact of biological factors (e.g., the menstrual cycle) and motivational factors (e.g., prejudice) on social perception. Recently, this research has been extended to consider individuals with impairments in social fucntioning (e.g., social anxiety; ASD; ADHD; dementia). In addition I have an interest in research in sport psychology.
