Researcher Summary
Christoph graduated in 2007 as Magister Artium (M.A.) at the German Friedrich-Alexander University in education, psychology and philosophy. He focused his educational studies on learning conditions and settings for young people, learning theories, social youth work and education for health theories.
Beginning with the last two years of his study he started to work in the field of social youth work and gained experience in various settings and positions in Germany and New Zealand. Objective of his work has always been the improvement of living circumstances of young people.
In 2009 Christoph started his research as PhD student at the School of Educational Studies and Human Development at the University of Canterbury. The research focus for this project lies on an educational approach to the art of living, and a shift in the focus of educational practice and theory in favour of the 'good' and 'beautiful' life of pupils and students.
