Researcher Summary

Primary current research interests include development of social-cognition in children and adolescents, intergenerational transfer of parenting attitudes and behaviours, and characteristics of family formation, maintenance, and relationship dynamics. An additional project started in 2010, is a pilot study on the personal and professional identity development of student teachers.

Previous and current supervision of postgraduate students has included topics on parental involvement in education, family adjustment, social information processing in children, and men's health (with Jeffrey Gage in the School of Health Sciences). I am currently very interested in talking with students interested in thesis topics on social-cognitive development of children and adolescents, and personal and professional identity development.
