Researcher Summary

My research focuses predominantly on issues in language education and language teacher education, covering ESL/EFL as well as languages other than English. My work is situated primarily in New Zealand and South Korea. In particular, I have a strong interest in languages policy and curriculum developments, and the barriers and enablers associated with the implementation of new languages curricula.
I am also engaged in research on ethnic diversity in the teaching profession, and on the use of a range of media in ESL/EFL programmes.
