• A genealogy of accounting on Nikunau, Tarawa and other islands in the Gilbert Islands and Republic of Kiribati, exploring governmentality and how to identify long-term consequences of accounting applications by commodity seekers, traders, missionaries, imperial powers, aid agencies and I-Kiribati.
• A genealogy of the emergence of curricular accounting in higher education (i.e. qualification frameworks, credit points, etc.), exploring path-dependency, negotiated order and representational schemes.
• A genealogy of government budgeting in the context of the separation of powers, and taxation going hand in hand with representation
• Opportunities for NZ academics to publish research in accounting and related disciplines.
• Student-centred learning and working in groups, in connection with developing intellectual, interpersonal and communication skills among accounting students.
