Research Group Summary
New Zealand Collaborative Action Research Network is the New Zealand hub of the international Collaborative Action Research Network (CARN) and, in addition to other meetings, it holds a meeting each year at the annual conference of New Zealand Association for Research in Education (NZARE).
NZCA&RN was formed in May 2009 at an inaugural symposium at the University of Canterbury, with the CARN sponsorship by the Universities of Canterbury, Waikato, and Otago.
We chose the metaphor of a braided river to communicate the many forms of collaborative action and research networking in which both Action Research and Kaupapa Māori Research 'braid' in and out of the flow of research methodologies.
