Summary
Members of the Sociology programme are engaged in research that cuts across science and technology studies, policy studies, sociology and political science. This research involves collaboration with other members of the University, with researchers in other Tertiary Institutions, Crown Research Institutes and Government agencies, and with Maori organisations. Research strengths in Sociology are pooled around four main areas: new technologies (ICT and bio-technologies), public policy, migration, ethnicity, and development and culture and identities.
