Researcher Summary

Mechanisms for the dispersal and diversification of the benthic micro-fauna with special emphasis on Ostracoda and the deep-ocean. Biogeography of the Southern Ocean and the littoral faunas of the Subantarctic Islands. Ostracod phylogeny and ecology. The geologically-recent record of oceanographic change in mid and deep-ocean sediments of the Tasman Sea, Southern and Pacific Oceans. Palaeoenvironmental signals as recorded in ostracod shells (taphonomy and geochemistry).
