Project Abstract

The MARS-CT team is a multi-disciplinary group developing the worlds first spectroscopic CT scanner incorporating the Medipix chip developed at CERN. They are based in the Physics and Astronomy Department at the University of Canterbury and the Radiology Department at the Otago School of Medicine, Christchurch. The team have designed and built prototype MARS-CT systems and are currently working on the hardware, software and scientific and clinical applications of this exciting new technology.
