Haere mai! A very warm welcome to the School of Literacies and Arts in Education, which is part of the College of Education. Our school offers initial teacher education and professional development courses related to literacies and arts including literacy and English education, children’s literature, music, visual arts, performing arts, dance, information and communication technology, and e-teaching.
Our staff are experienced educators with a passion for their subject areas; they have strong links to the school and education sector, and to their relevant cultural and arts communities; many are national leaders in curriculum and assessment; and their research interests embrace many facets of education.
